At this forum, Acting Under Secretary of Energy, David Garman, and John Kerry's Energy and Environmental Advisor as well as former Deputy Secretary of the Interior, David Hayes, discussed Bush and Kerry's energy strategies for the future. The discussion was moderated by Ira Flatow, host and Executive Producer of National Public Radio's Talk of the Nation: Science Friday. The panel of questioners at the event included John Fialka of The Wall Street Journal, Juliet Eilperin of The Washington Post, and Elizabeth Shogren of The Los Angeles Times.

Democratic Presidential Candidates' Views on Energy Policy


November 21, 2003

The Sustainable Energy Institute hosted a forum on the proposed energy policies of the Democratic Presidential Candidates on Nov. 21 at the Georgetown University Law Center. Representatives from each campaign were invited to present their candidates' positions. This is the first in a series of two forums, the second of which will be held in Spring 2004 featuring the presumptive Democratic nominee and a representative from the Bush campaign.
